In ‘Dirty Deeds’, Zach must perform the legendary ‘deeds’ in one night to save his friend from the football team bullying. These tasks are traditionally performed the night before Homecoming and have not been completed by anyone for a long time. Will he be able to complete these difficult tasks and win the heart of the girl he has a crush on?

‘Dirty Deeds’ is a high school comedy that can be placed in the same category as ‘American Pie’, for example, the genre of films that is mainly full of sex jokes. In addition, the film uses the classic stereotypes that we know from other films in this genre. The football players are herd animals and not very intelligent, the cheerleaders are shallow and like football players and the nerds are smart. The protagonists in these films are Milo Ventimiglia (“Gilmore Girls” and “Heroes”) and Lacey Chabert (“Party of Five” and “Mean Girls”).

The problem with ‘Dirty Deeds’ is not so much that the jokes are very lame, that doesn’t matter much in this genre. When you pick a high school comedy, you don’t expect a thinker, so that shouldn’t spoil the fun. However, what makes this film especially substandard is that no joke is original. And the jokes are also worse executed than in the original movies. In addition, the story is wafer-thin even for a film in this genre and the assignments really don’t make sense.

Perhaps fans of films like ‘Porky’s’ still appreciate this film, but it is to be expected that fans of this genre of films will also have to notice that the jokes in this film look very familiar to them. ‘Dirty Deeds’ doesn’t add anything to the genre, but maybe this won’t bother fans of this kind of comedies. For people who found ‘American Pie’ a bit too corny, this film is in any case not recommended. People who do like poo and pee humor can probably enjoy themselves with it.
