Review: Love at First Sight – Love at First Sight (2017)
Love at First Sight – Love at First Sight (2017)
Directed by: Benjamin Le Ster, Matthew Nealon | 4 minutes | animation, short film, comedy, family, romance | Original voice cast: Taron Egerton, Garth Jennings, Robert Morse
In the second cutscene added as an extra to the home entertainment releases of ‘Sing’ (2016), ‘Love at First Sight’, Miss Crawly, the Glass-Eyed Lizard (Garth Jennings), muses away during a piano lesson with Johnny (Taron Egerton) about the loves of her life. Johnny then decides to sign her up for online dating. This is followed by a nice compilation of obstacles and pitfalls that Miss Crawly encounters on her path to love.
‘Love at first sight’, in contrast to ‘Gunter babysit’, is more suitable for an older audience – especially for adults a concept such as “online dating” is easier to understand. For example, the compilation with Miss Crawly’s dating mistakes is difficult for children to understand.
