In ‘The Virginity Hit’ we meet four friends who make a pact. After the defloration, a ‘hit’ is taken from the water pipe specially purchased for this fact. Jacob, Zack and Justin suck on the bong one after the other. Waiting for Matt. He has been in a relationship with the lovely Nicole for two years, but ‘for real’ has not yet worked out. Finally, his defloration is coming. The date has been set, eating out and hotel room. Zach, Matt’s stepbrother, films the entire build-up and learns that Nicole is cheating on Matt. The four friends decide to offer her a cookie of their own dough. Zach and his entourage are ready in the hotel room next to Matt and Nicole’s to show the people Nicole’s deception via YouTube. All this is going wrong, but Matt still breaks up with it. V

On the internet, a lady, Rebecca, offers to take Nicole’s place. Matt doesn’t know what hit him. Rebecca’s ex-boyfriends say ‘how good’ she is in bed. But Becca has a demand, Matt must appear in a $ 1,800 Ralph Lauren Black Label suit. And his drug-addicted father just ransacked his account! An account that his mother, who died of cancer, had opened especially for him (study and other costs) as a fund for Matt. Without money, the group manages to score the necessary suit in a hilarious scene.

However, even Becca is not what she seems. Her real name is Kelly and she researches the behavior of men before her graduation (‘male-animal’ project). Matt is just one of her victims in this investigation. The visit to Becca produces a rather compromising video, which becomes a hit on the internet. Matt goes into hiding, but his friends have a new plan: they raise money to get Matt’s favorite porn star, Sunny Leone, for a night out. The solution for his now blue balls and his heartbreak! Unfortunately, even Sunny tells Matt that this is NOT the right way to mend a broken heart, let alone lose your virginity…

The film has a very funny ending in which the eccentric hotel owner reveals his favorite YouTube videos. ‘The Virginity Hit’ is more than the summary suggests. It never gets too flat and the actors play very truthfully. The mockumentary style works well and never gets boring. ‘The Virginity Hit’ can be seen as a mix of ‘Superbad’ and ‘American Pie’. There are nice supporting roles, especially Zack’s parents and some scenes are brilliant too (matt’s pubic hair shaving and Sunny’s boyfriend’s tribute to Matt…). ‘Nerd’ Matt plays believable and even the meddling ever-filmmaker Zack comes across as sympathetic. In short: a very enjoyable film with nice extras. A breath of fresh air within the sometimes a bit too well-trodden genre!
