Review: The queue de la souris – A Mouse’s Tale (2007)

The queue de la souris – A Mouse’s Tale (2007)

Directed by: Benjamin Renner | 4 minutes | animation, short film

When the mouse is captured, it offers the lion a transaction. He promises to give the lion a meal in exchange for his life. But the lion is not easily satisfied and refuses several options. The mouse must come up with a ruse to escape his impending end.

‘La queue de la souris’ (‘A Mouse’s Tale’) by Benjamin Renner is an animated film drawn in atmospheric black and white that presents a story according to the best Tom and Jerry traditions. Humorous in structure, beautiful in drawing design, sober and subtly drawn.
