Review: Love at First Sight – Love at First Sight (2017)

Directed by: Benjamin Le Ster, Matthew Nealon | 4 minutes | animation, short film, comedy, family, romance | Original Voice Cast: Taron Egerton, Garth Jennings, Robert Morse

In the second video, added as an extra to the home entertainment releases of ‘Sing’ (2016), ‘Love at first sight’, Miss Crawly, the glass-eyed lizard (Garth Jennings), muses away during a piano lesson with Johnny (Taron Egerton) about the loves of her life. Johnny then decides to sign her up for online dating. This is followed by a nice compilation of obstacles and pitfalls that Miss Crawly encounters on her path to love.

“Love at first sight” is unlike “Gunter looks after” more suited to an older audience – and especially for adults, a concept like “online dating” is easier to understand. For example, the compilation with Miss Crawly’s dating misses is difficult for children to understand.
