A cult hit seems almost guaranteed with a movie like ‘Double Agent 73’. A woman with gigantic breasts who beats enemies to a pulp with this and captures them on the sensitive plate with a specially implanted camera: what’s not to like? Well, although there is something in this, it is also the only thing about the film that is fun, and not even that long. Despite the scant 74 minutes that it lasts, the film is remarkably monotonous and long-winded. You will look at your watch more often with this film than with the six-hour ‘La Meglio Gioventú’.
The first few shots of Chesty Morgan’s gigantic bosom still provide some humor, and the same goes for the way she takes photos of sensitive documents or knocked-out enemies: by gently pressing one chest and flicking it briefly from top to bottom. to move. This is, amusingly enough, accompanied by a clicking sound and sometimes even a flash. Also, the scene in which Chesty knocks someone out with her breasts is definitely worth watching, but apart from these fun elements in the film, there is little to enjoy (an ice cube murder scene is also sadistic). And even the photo acts get tiresome at some point. Funny is the realization that the director makes no secret of the fact that Chesty’s breasts are the only attraction of the film. Even when the top agent is on a phone call, the camera quickly moves towards the big girl’s breasts. Even though they have nothing to do with the scene, they turn out to be the only interesting thing that can be dragged out.
The story is negligible. Chesty must track down a top criminal and go through each villain to uncover the boss’s identity. This means that she meets the person in question, takes out, and takes their photo in front of the home base. And then there are the bits that lead nowhere – like a horse racing visit from a side character – that only stretch the film. The ending of ‘Double Agent 73’ promises another mission in Istanbul, while Chesty’s character Jane actually indicated that she had had enough. She’s not alone.
