Synopsis: Radhika and Amrit are deeply in love with each other. Both the parents bless the union and they are to be married just before Amrit is due to leave for London for higher studies. As the bridegroom was leaving on horse back, the animal is frightened by an explosion and bolts. Amrit can not control the horse, falls and is killed. Radhika becomes a widow before the `Suhag Raat. Rai saheb’s frineds sends Shekhar as a tutor for his daughter Munni. Rai saheb approve the young man and lodges him in the Haveli. Shekhar tries to be a source of consolation for Radhika to forget her sorrow. Shortly afterwards, Radhika is declared to be pregnant. Shekhar is the obvious culprit.
