Synopsis: Shankar (Rajnikanth) married to Parvati (Jaya Prada), works hard and looks after his brothers, Shakti (Shakti Kapoor) and Prem Dayal (Gulshan Grover). Both the brothers, however, take advantage of Shankar. Even thier father, Gangaprasad Dayal (Kader Khan) is against Shankar giving them money. Shankar saves Shakti from getting jailed for raping Sujata when he requests the latter to tak the complaint pback and gets them married. Later, both brother go to the city and start gets invloved in smuggling. When Shakti commits a murder, Shankar takes the blame and gets jailed. When he comes out, he finds that his father is dead and wife and son are missing.Then later, he unite with his wife, but finds his son to be dead. He is again in the crossroads of sacrifice when Shakti’s daughter Aarti (Bhagyashree) and his boyfriend Amar meet him, as Shakti is against their relationship. Now what Shankar will do with Shakti and Prem? Will Shankar help Aarti and Amar?
