Synopsis: Shaym(Feroz Khan) falls in love with a protrait of Pelu(Kalpana), a Kashmiri village girl, painted by his friend Ishrat(Sajjan). Due to complications created by Alka(Helen), Shyam leaves Bombay to find Pelu in Kashmir. He succeeds and true love blossoms. Despite Pelu’s fathers(Nazir Hussian) objections, the two marry and come back to Bombay. A jealous Alka creates mischief and misunderstandings. Pelu leaves for Kashmir and Shyam realizes his folly. In a thrilling climax repleat with avalanches, gunshots and high drama, true love finds its rightful path. But poor Ishrat had to pat with his life to see happiness of his friend and the girl, he loves most, Pelu.
