Synopsis: DCP Shiv Kumar (Sunil Dutt) is an honest and brave officer. There is a gang of smugglers and criminals which is headed by the notorious Shakaal (Kulbhushan Kharbanda) and while carrying out his investigations against this ring, the DCP is killed. He leaves behind his two brothers (Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor) and wife (Rakhee). His brothers vow that they will avenge their brother’s death and set about to trace the killer. They stumble upon an old enemy of Shakal’s , Rakesh, who tells them facts about Shakal and his gang and how he was being used as pawn by Shakal. The three of them now agree to work together in order to reach Shakal and destroy him.
