Synopsis: Arjun Rai (Mithun Chakraborty) is arrested for the murder of Mr. Khanna (Arun Mathur). He is wanted for many other such murders as he is a professional killer. In the court, he is sentenced to death. However, Arun escapes from prison with the help of Jagdish Chopra (Amrish Puri), the man for whom he works. Jagdish helps Arjun because he wants him to kill his own relative Gautam Saigal (Marc Zuber) due to some property related disputes. Arjun reaches America (where Gautam lives) and is helped by Jagdish Chopra’s accomplices, Sharma (Sujit) and Radha Talwar (Simi Garewal). When Arjun goes to kill Gautam, he is dumbstruck to see his wife Sapna Saigal (Anuradha Patel). Gautam manages to not only escape Arjun’s gun, but injures him as well. Radha nurses Arjun back to health and he remembers his past association with Sapna.The flashback shows Arjun ,a poor mechanic, falls in love with a rich man’s (Pradeep kumar) daughter Sapna.However, Sapna’s father is against this alliance and sends her off to America. He also get Arjun arrested. After reaching her aunt’s (Rohini Hattangadi) place in America, Sapna finds out that she is pregnant with Arjun’s child. Citing Arjun’s arrest, Sapna’s aunt persuades her to marry Gautam. Gautam never finds out that Komal [Baby Sona Sardesai) is not his biological daughter. Arjun decides to befriend Komal, thinking this would help him in finding out details about Gautam’s routine, making his task of killing him, easier. He confronts Sapna as well, and soon realizes that Komal is his child. However,the local police, led by inspector Morris (Tom Alter) is close to identifying the person who had attacked Gautam. In the meanwhile, Jagdish reaches America and tries to kill Gautam. Arjun spoils his plan by saving Gautam. As Sapna struggles with her knowledge about Komal and Arjun’s relationship, Gautam finds out that Komal had become friendly with Arjun. Sapna soon has to tell Gautam the truth. Jagdish eventually kidnaps komal to get back at Gautam. Arjun gets in to a fight with Jagdish and his henchmen.While saving Komal, he kills Jagdish and is himself fatally wounded.
