Synopsis: Ram (Sanjeev Kumar) loves eating so much that all villagers calls Petu-ram. Once, when Ram is suffering from fits, he is helped by Radha (Rekha),the Zamindar’s sister. At that moment he falls in love with her. But Radha’s brother Tej Singh (Prem Chopra) opposes to their marriage and beats up Ram very badly. Tej keeps the condition that if he brings 10 lakh Rupees, then he can marry Radha. Ram comes to Mumbai and becomes the famous actor and earns lots of money. When he returns to his village he comes to know that Radha got married to Alok Nath (Vinod Mehra). The boss of Alok Nath tries to rape Radha and in self protection Radha kills him and goes to jail. He keeps her daughter with Ram and gives all responsibilities of her to him. Ram covers all his responsibilities very proper. After coming out from jail Radha is always blackmailed by Tej. What does she do? Will Radha be able to meet her daughter? Where is Alok? How can Ram help Radha?
