Synopsis: Mehboob is young but popular dress designer from Bombays film industry, who at the insistance of his mother is compelled to go back to his native place Lucknow and restart his business. However, he faces a great problem…his youth. His youth and his good looks which were an asset in Bombays film industry beccomes his liability in conservative Lucknow. The male populace specially cannot face the fact that this youngman will be taking measurements of their wives and sisters. They boycott him. . Mehboob hits upon a hilarious idea to hoodwink the men of Lucknow and help the belles overcome their inhibitions. A masquerades as an oldman, a fictious brother of the young tailor himself. The ruse work and his business thrives. . There are two sisters named Amra and Nikhat having similar looks. The masquerading Mehboobs actual predicament begins when he gets romantically involved with these Lucknowi sisters from a Nawab family, as two different people. . Nawab Salim Beg is a family friend of Mehboob who understands the young tailors problems and helps him in his masquerades. He is also the only person to know about this ruse and Mehboobs romantic escapdes wit Amra & Nikhat. A romantic at heart, instead of cautioning the young tailor about keeping his heart in check, he goads him on into his love affairs. . Amjad Khan, a Nawab but a rival of Salim Beg and cousin of Amra and his sister, thinks that it is his birthright to marry the young Nikhat He would be the heir to Nikhats parents…a chronic bookworm who is fast losing his mental balance. Shahnaz, a companion to Nikhat sympathises with him. . The whole house-hold becomes panickly when a theft of family jewels takes place, and the situation takes an ugly turn when Amjad Khan make a revelationt hat the two Ladies Tailors the older and younger brother are but one man. Amjad Khan immediately has Mehboob arrested for false pretence theft and….a murder. . Amras dream is shattered. But what about Nikhat.
