Kasba l Shatrughan Sinha, Raghubir Yadav l 1991

Synopsis : Kasba’ is the story where a happy go family is being destroyed by a selfish daughter in law. Maniram (Manohar Singh) who is the head of the family, and his youngest son Bhaktoji is half-mad and very child-man. Bhaktoji’s wife Tejjo (Mita Vashisth) who handles all the work of his father-in-law, is a pure business woman. Maniram’s elder son Dhaniram (Shatrughan Sinha) who is unmarried works in the city and comes back to his house after a long time. After coming back he gets married to Nandini with the help of Nadini’s assumed uncle Kashinath (M. K. Raina). When he moves back to city, everybody in the family get to comes to know that he was a criminal and was in the business of making fake currency. After some days the news comes that he got arrested and is sentenced for ten years. But then Maniram comes to know that all the money that he had given by son is mixed up with their old money. All the money which they have earned till now is then destroyed by the scare of police. Next Maniram decides that he will transfer all his property to his grandson, son of Nandini. By this Tejjo got angry and kills the new born baby and runs away with Mohinder, the son of the zamindar of that village. Nandini also leaves the house.
