Kaash l Jackie Shroff, Dimple Kapadia l 1987

Synopsis : Ritesh (Jackie Shroff) and Pooja (Dimple Kapadia) are married and live a fairly wealthy lifestyle, with Ritesh being a Bollywood hero. When Ritesh attempts his debut in film-making, a risk considering his naivety, resulting in huge losses, which they have to make good by selling all their personal properties, vehicles, and belongings. Now they live in a small flat, with Ritesh who has now turned to alcohol and indulges in nostalgic flights of fancy, it is up to Pooja to take over the reins of this family by being employed, much to the chagrin of Ritesh, who would prefer that she stay at home – a discussion that may well be the turning point of their relationship and may signal the end of their marriage.
