Synopsis: Based on a well-known Malayalam novel Adimakal (Slaves), it tells of a bunch of young people thrown in together at a wayside station in a journey of life itself. It also tells of a man-hater woman, who realises the real values in life through a nincompoop villager, after she is betrayed by an engineer and gives birth to his child. Padmini Kapila played a double role in the movie. As a child the heroine watches her dad sexually assaulting her mother and she grows up hating the concept of marriage. But Baldev falls in love with her and tries to woo her. Then this song – Chanda Ki Kirnon Se plays. Vishal Anand, Dev Anand’s nephew, played the villain in this movie. He is Padmini’s brother, seduces Rinku Jaiswal only to cheat her later. Baldev tries to reform him and finally Padmini has to intervene.
