Synopsis: Uemployed, middle-classed Suraj Verma (Rishi Kapoor) meets with wealthy Asha (Varsha Usgaonkar), the second of two daughters of wealthy Bombay-based Dhaniram (Kader Khan), who forces him to marry her. After getting evicted by his landlord, he manages to secure temporary accommodation in a bungalow on Gorai Beach which belongs to his friend, Vijay (Mohnish Bahl). This is where Suraj must now masquerade as a servant in order to try to fool an ailing Dhaniram into believing that he is wealthy. Things get really complicated when Lata (Ashwini Bhawe), Asha’s sister, falls for Suraj.
