Synopsis: The theme of Grahan is the demoralising effect of guilt consciousnes on personal relationship. Sitankshu, working at Hazaribagh Institute, hold Devipado, his superior, in the high esteem. But when Sitankshu’s wife, Sumitra, comes to join her husband, there is a confrontation with Devipado, because of an affair Devipado had with her sister. To clear the atmosphere, Devipado revels his past to his wife Ramola, who herself has the scars of guilt of her youth. For the first time Devipado and Ramola feel the rappot of two soul united in the bond of marriage.
