Synopsis: Thakur Kundan Singh, the Zamindar of village Sultanpur, has devoted wife and seven years old daughter named Radha. Radha was born to her parents after ten years of their marriage, in response to their prayers to Baba Baijnath-an affectionate name given to Lord Shiva by his devotees in the state of Bihar. Radha is very friendly with Mohan, a poor boy of the village. When they become grown up, the love between the two also becomes very deep. The Zamindar smells it and, very tactfully, manages to seperate them from each other. This adds fuel to the fire of love between Radha and Mohan as a result of which they start meeting secretly and, even start talking in terms of marriage. The Zamindar gets worried. He finalises Radhas marriage with Yuvraj Singh, the son of another welathy Zamindar, who is a notorious character. But before she could reach his place, Yuvrajs men attack them on way on way and beat Mohan mercilessly, as a result of which the left side of his body gets completely paraylsed and is declared as a incurable case. Mohans mother dies of shock. Thakur Kundan Singh and Yuvraj make one more attempt to tell Radha to forget the crippled man and accept the one who was rich and handsome. But Radha politely turns down the offer by saying that she treated her husband like God no matter whatever he was crippled or poor. Yuvraj feels insulted. He takes a vow that till he avenged his insult by spoiling the honour of Radha and killed Mohan, he would not rest in peace. . On the other side, Radha decides to take paralysed Mohan to Baba Bajijnathdham to get him cured with his blessings.
