Synopsis: The Movie is about Vasu (Kamal Hassan) and Sapna (Rati Agrihotri) both madly in love with each other. Vasu belongs to a Brahmin South Indian family and Sapna to a North Indian family. Both their families are against their affair.Their families decide on seperating the couple for a year and if they are still in love after that, then to get them married. Sapna’s parents try their level best to make her forget Vasu, but are unsuccessful.Vasu on the other hand is learning Hindi and dance from Sandhya (Madhavi). This causes misunderstandings betwene Vasu and Sapna. But destiny doesn’t let them meet and stay happily ever after. Vasu and Sapna give up their lives to live together after death.
