Synopsis: Ambika Prasad god-fearing and honest and destined to die immediately on retirement. When Death came to take him away he asked for a three-years extension of life to see his son a doctor. Death granted him extension. Ambika now sought another extension of a year to see his son wedded and to see him grandson. This too was granted. When Death came on completion of the extension Ambika fought with him but killed his wife instead. In desperation he ended his life.
