Synopsis: Aarti (Smita Patil) is living happily with her brother & mother. She tries for job & gets a job as personal secretary to Jolly (Shakti Kapoor). Her brother starts to take drugs but Vijay (Raj Babbar) catches him & tells Aarti about this. Aarti tells her brother to stop it & his brother joins navy. Vijay starts loving Aarti but he doesn’t tell her. One day Jolly tries to rape Aarti & Vijay saves her. Then Ravi (Rajesh Khanna), Vijay’s friend sees Aarti’s performance on stage & starts loving her. Their families agree & Aarti gets engaged to Ravi. Ravi goes abroad for work. One day Jolly sees Aarti & he takes her forcefully to his home & rapes her. When Ravi’s parents come to know about this, they end their relationship. Then Vijay tells her, that he would marry her but his mother also doesn’t accept her when she comes to know the truth. Finally Aarti goes to Hirabhai, & starts as a Tawaif performing dances over there. Her brother comes & sees this & goes to take revenge from Jolly. But Jolly kills him. Seeing this Aarti loses her patience & kills Jolly. But in the court Ravi’s father fights the case for her & tells that this was done by her due to the situation & Aarti gets freed.
