Synopsis: Arun Anand (Dev Anand) is a hotelier , happily married to Varsha (Rakhee Gulzar) and expecting their first child. But an accident leads to a miscarriage leaving Varsha unableto conceive in future. Meanwhile Anand falls in love with his secretary Kiran Kaushal (Smita Patil).When Kiran becomes pregnant Anand strikes a deal with union leader Pratap Singh (Raj Babbar). As part of the deal Pratap will marry Kiran and once the delivery takes place, will divorce her. For this he will get Rs 2 lakhs. But once the son Varun is born he breaks the agreement and goes away with Kiran and Varun.With time Varun grows up to be a handsome man (Sunil Anand) and falls in love with Pratap’s boss Mr.Gupta’s (Biswajeet) daughter Rachana (Natasha Singh). Gupta is against their love and sends Pratap to jail for six months on flimsy charges. A helpless Kiran asks Arun to help them. Arun helps them financially but does not reveal their true relationship . But what will happen when pratap gets out of jail ? Will Varun & Rachana be able to marry? And what will happen to Varsha?
