Synopsis : This is a story of Albert Pinto (Naseeruddin Shah) who is a car garage mechanic. He has come from Goa and is working in Mumbai. Albert always dreams of owing the expensive cars which he repairs for his client. He has a girlfriend, Stella (Shabana Azmi) who upsets Albert with her casual attitude towards his colleagues. He also does not like his employer lusting for Stella. Things come to change as Albert is forced to join his father’s textile union strike. It’s this time Albert understand the dirty politics going around the textile industry. What he does next sums the movie.
