Synopsis: Manu Verma (Amitabh Bachchan) is handed the case of the assasination of the Indian Defence Minister. Manu’s investigation results in the arrest of a man named Raghavan, who is found guilty, and sentenced to be hanged until death. Raghavan is hanged, and Manu returns to his job, his wife (Nandita Das) and his young daughter. However, even after Raghavan’s death, Justice Balwant Chaudhry is killed in the same manner as the previous murder. Therefater, there is another killing. Inspector Arjun is certain that the killings are done by a person who is copying Raghavan. However, soon the evidence of these killings leads Arjun to none other than Inspector Manu Verma himself.
