Symopsis : Paramand, a great astrologer, found that Ganga., the daughter of his friend Vidhyadhar, would be widowed within five years of her marriage. Still, Mangaldev the astrologers son would not marry any other girl except Ganga. . Ganga was brought up as a devotee of Lord Shiva. She took her marriage with Mangaldev as astrologys challenge of her devotion and dedication. . Lord Shiva sent to Narad to test Gangas devotion. Narad, disguided as a charmer and in league with the village Mahant and Gangas mother-in-law Parvati, caused a great deal of torture to Ganga. She had to pass through many ordeals.
