Synopsis: Shyamsundar (Govinda) is a village bumpkin who is an aspiring singer, He comes to Mumbai to make it big in the field of music and make his Guru proud. There he meets Muthuswami (Satish Kaushik) who also is an aspiring musician. They both bond and struggle together, to find their way through the music world. They meet Divya (Tabu) who is the daughter of Mr. Khurana (Kader Khan) the owner of the music company. After some misunderstanding, Tabu introduces Shyam to her father who is very much impressed with Shyam’s talent. He assigns him the post of general manager of his music company. Meanwhile Divya falls in love with Shyam & wants to marry him. Initially, Shyam refuses to marry her as he loves Pooja (Karisma Kapoor) a girl from his village. When he goes back to his village, he is informed by his friends that Pooja and her father died a few months ago. He comes back to the city and decides to marry Divya. After a few days, Shyam comes to know that Pooja is alive. Unable to break her faith, Shyam marries Pooja too. But is not an easy task for Shyam to hide this fact from both of them, as Pooja and Divya bump into each other and eventually become friends. Will Shyam be able to come out clean from this mess? Will he manage to have both of them in his life without letting them know about each other? If yes, for how long?
