Synopsis: Arjun Dixit (Sunny Deol) is a simple, non-violent and god-fearing man from Haridwar. He teaches Yoga in a College. One day, a young pretty girl Nisha (Juhi Chawla) lands up in Arjun’s town. She is out there to do some research on Sanskrit language and its Origins. Arjun falls in love with her at First Sight. However, Nisha doesn’t think very highly of him, as Arjun acts very fearfully at a couple of occasions. One day, a rowdy Sanjay (Shahzad Khan) bullies Nisha, and Arjun despite of being present on the occasion doesn’t do anything. Nisha fuels him and challenges his manhood. Angered by the challenge made, Arjun pours out all his anger on Sanjay, who eventually dies. Although, Arjun did not intend that, but the fact remains that he is a murderer. He is shocked to find that Nisha testifies against him, and as a result he serves a sentence. Nisha informs Arjun that she had come to take revenge of her sister’s death, who, in turn, had committed suicide after Arjun did not testify in favour of her. After Sanjay’s mother comes to know of the truth, Arjun is set free, but he is still besotted with Nisha and comes to Mumbai to look for her. Here, he becomes the gangster Arjun Pandit. Arjun finds Nisha and tries to make her his bride. In this process he also faces many hurdles and finally they are united at the end.
