These are the new Netflix series and films in December 2020

December is just around the corner. Outside the temperature drops and the light is getting shorter and shorter. Ideal conditions for relaxing on the couch in the evening with a nice film, series or documentary. Netflix has a major update ready for this last month of the year. The necessary Christmas films have already been added recently, more will follow this month. We already highlight a few highlights and promising titles and list them all for you.

We go back to the year 1999, Astrid is only 9 years old, when a class of students inexplicably disappears without a trace. Astrid, the sister of one of the missing students, is traumatized after her sister’s disappearance and faces horrifying visions. 2020 is now and Astrid lives peacefully with her family, but the nightmares are returning. When the only survivor from 1999 mysteriously dies, Astrid is determined to find out what happened to her sister and the class.

Alice in Borderland

Arisu – a listless, unemployed and video game obsessed young man – suddenly finds himself in a strange and empty version of Tokyo where he and his friends must compete in dangerous games to survive. They meet Usagi, a young woman who navigates the games alone. Together they try to unravel one after another as they risk their lives and face what it means to be alive.

The Claus

Jules Claus does not like Christmas at all. After the death of his father last year, he no longer wants to have anything to do with the so-called ‘most beautiful time of the year’. When his mother is at work, Jules likes to spend time in his grandfather’s toy store. One day he finds a magical snow globe that can take him to the farthest corners of the world in a special way. During his adventure, he discovers something amazing: none other than his own grandfather is the one and only Santa!

Rundfunk: Jachterwachter

The hard-working Watchkeeper (Yannick van de Velde) runs the HIVO campsite without assistance. The arrival of the decrepit ex-world star Ronnie Bosboom Jr. (Tom van Kalmthout) seems like a blessing, but when he turns out to be on the run from dangerous criminals, the duo must do everything they can to save the campsite. A Dutch full of humor.
